Jakarta: An earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale Saturday jolted the eastern part of Indonesia, the meteorology and disaster management agencies said.
The quake occurred at 0541 GMT, with the epicentre 117 km northeast of North Sulawesi and 10 km under the seabed, an official said. No tsunami warning was issued.
"There is no report of damage or fatality. The people only felt a light shake," Panji Syahril Maulana of the disaster management agency said.
Indonesia with over 230 million people sits on a vulnerable quake zone called the Pacific Ring of Fire, where the two continental plates meet, which cause frequent seismic and volcanic movements.
Some crazy and sexy rockers say the cause of earth quake due to Japaneese rock band "Earth Shaker". This band was famous in early 80's but still playing around in Japanese clubs. I believe the fans still having thier albums and keep playing thier rock music. Rockers believe the vibration from that rock band will able to increase Richter magnitude scale. When man make love with unknown girl,that is earthquake! If you lick them is Tsunami. If you fuck them is Tornado.If you suck thier tit is Volcano..If husband and wife make love we call it Paradise..So focus on economic not earthquake..I lost my job due to this global economi problem currently. Unpaid bill for almost 6 months, thus my wife is earthshaker who keep shouting at me about money......
